What are you looking to get out of the bike? I know alot of bikes have an ajustment ring which will lower the bike as well as drop the spring tention. if you are looking for hard agressive I would go with the OEM with the adjustment ring father down the shock sleeve.

Mish I don't have direct experienc with that shock but I know someone that did. He didn't like it. He said "All Show and No Go". It pogo'ed like crazy when he really wanted it to work. That's what he said...I don't knowdunno.

also swheels what do you think will be a good shock?Thats a great shock. The done fall is you can't adjust the dampening. If you get one that you could adjust the the bound or rebound.I promise you will be better off.Something like these.

Just make sure they are the same or closest to your stock shock length.

That would explain the bouncing around I didn't think about that. He said when he was just riding it was good but dive into a turn and gas it and hold on for the ride and !that was on a scooter!

The air/oil bladder is in the shock you put up right? Not that purple one right:confused:?

okay thanx shweels and prof. i guess ill just look around but the ones u pointed out those are the ones that will make it stiffer right? cuz im tired of the rear bouncing up and down and sliding out of the corner! lol

Ok 200mm is 8inches i'll go diggin alittle more to find a shock to fit your bike.

Another thing to consider when buying a shock is the spring weight. Most of the mountain bike shocks that would suit our midbikes are available with several different weight springs. Too light and you'll run out of spring adjustment trying to get a good setup. Remember, our midbikes are a lot heavier than an MTB and we also ask them to corner at much higher speeds than you typically would on an MTB.
If you go with a name-brand MTB shock, you should be able to get other springs as they are usually a standard diameter ie 2". Any bike shop should be able to help you get springs and they don't seem to be super expensive, it's the shock itself that is costly. The DNM shock I bought has an 1100lb spring.
Any idea what your spring weight is swheels? It would give us an idea of what to get.
Cheers,

hey swheel, ya i would also like to raise my rear just a bit. but to much tho.. so maybe 220mm?

Remember that due to the geometry of your suspension, a small change in shock length equals a large change at the axle. You posted that your stock shock is 9.5" eye-eye. That is 240mm. A 220mm shock will lower your ride height, not raise it :)

redI have a 650lb rated spring.I tried the 1500lbs and it was way to stiff for me.BRICK. I run the rear alittle soft because the front tire was taking a beating. But since it stiffened up the front i get alot more out of the front tire. But i think a 750lbs to 900lbs would work great.

oh see..
ya well ill look around then.I found these and i think they should be better. They have adjustable bound or rebound.(it doesn't state in the right up) ok on the little dial it has an R.So i'm thinking that stands for rebound. So with that said if the shock seems to springy. You can slow the rebound down plus tighten up on the spring.

Iv'e read in one of the right ups. That some of them come with a 200lbs to a 500lbs spring.I've found one that said it had a 1000lbs spring and it had all the the adjustments. But the price of a 129.00 bucs.

I put a little vid to show the action of the shock that i'm using.Which is a mountain bike shock with a 650lbs sring and adjustable rebound.I didn't think about it until now but i'll do another vid.Showing the reaction of the shock as i change the rebound by tuning the dial.I can slow rebound down to where it looks like the back end may not come back up.That's when it feels like your riding on a brick though.

a shock to make the rear stiffer and stop the hopping :)Yes indeed it was scary as heck with that stock shock and trying to go fast.Just by putting a better shock in the rear.Made the bike feel more solid and gives you more confidence.I could be at lean and go over a bump with no worries.thumbsup
