Your speedo problem is likely caused by the sensor being to far from the magnet(s) on the wheel. So as you go faster the sensor starts to miss magnet passes and your speedo actually reads slower. Try moving the sensor closer to the magnet(s).

As yet I don't have a Vapor. But post your setup and I'll try to give you some advice based on the instructions.

Cheers,

thinking_smilie Did your Vapor come with a manual? It sounds like the sensor is positioned wrong (like red said "too far" away). It should be mounted so that the magnet runs right next to the bottom part of the sensor without hitting it. thinking_smilie If your Vapor isn't working well right out of the box, there might be something wrong with it. If you don't have it wired up to the battery, try that, it may be low on power.
To enter data setting mode, hold all three buttons for 3 seconds, then release. cycle through the settings until you get to the "program wheel size" setting screen. on the right side of the screen you will see the word "tire" and a flashing 4 digit number below. The easiest way I know how to measure wheel circumference is to take the height of the wheel in millimeters (diameter) and multiply by 3.14 (the pi button on your scientific calculator, if you have one). To change to the next digit, press up. To change the digit, press down.
As for PPr, this stands for pulses per revolution, and is the setting for your tachometer. Cycle through the settings till you get to the ppr screen. to change to the next digit, press up. To change the digit, press down. This setting is critical, the number of pulses per revolution vary between 2- and 4-strokes. select from 0.5, 1.0, or 2.0. Ideally, your tach should read between 700 and 800 rpm's idling.
thinking_smilie As for the indicator lights, you have to hook those up to the indicator wires on the wiring harness. they aren't necessary, so if you are not adept in wiring, I would say do without. thumbsup2
There is a shift indicator and an over-rev indicator on the Vapor already. To program them, cycle through the settings till you hit "shift" for the shift indicator and "shift2" for the over-rev indicator. Changing the digits on those is the same as above.
The rest are supplementary. Clock, temp, engine temp, and MPH/KPH.
