468 in my dragster

Well to start it off, end of last season i changed the oil pump after the first one snapped off. The same thing happend saturday and toasted the motor the rest of the way. So we think the harmonic balancer or torque converter is out of balance. We'll find out after i go to my friends motor shop. Luckily i have a 477ci BBC that was for my vette with all new stuff in it so its goin in and hopefully it'll do good and maybe run a lil faster.....

no reason to cry about it....they always blow up....and the rocker wasnt broke, just had accessive wear.....the spring broke and i noticed the rocker was goin bad so i swapped her out b4 it got worse....it had nothing to do with the oil pump being snapped off....the motor still ran but had no oil pressure bcuz the pump layin in the oil pan

update is i went to nashville a couple weeks ago to take my motors to my friends shop.....tore both of them down and rebuilt 1 in 1 day....i had 2 main caps broken in half and the eagle crank was fine so i was lucky in the long run.....after the install i took it to the track and the new torque converter wasnt right for my dragster setup or just wasnt rebuilt right so it ran terrible but after changin it out, it ran 5.25 @ 131



edit...the 477 had to be rebuilt bcuz it wasnt done right.....its the one thats in the dragster right now

yea it should go lil faster being that it was spinning out of the hole a little bit bcuz the track i was testing on wasnt prepped
