I wonder what happens when you have to hit the brakes and lock the wheel up?
I can see something like this with a driveshaft within the swingarm (single sided preferably) and have it rotate the wheel much like we have with the cars.
He did say friction drive, right?

Yeah, I heard friction drive too. thinking_smilie To be honest, that sounds a little iffy to me. I'd be afraid of the drum ripping through the tire. twocents
Other than that, thats one sweet ride! Nice paint job thumbsup2

it has to be hell on the tire. I think you would be changing them every year

thats if they actually rode it....bluelaugh.....what i think may happen is the middle of the tire would get hot on long rides and wear the tire like a burnout would and that thing would have to be adjusted every couple hundred of miles atleast....i think its cool but its wasted on some show bike that will never be rode more than a few miles if that

yeah like if you try to burn out or take off fast the gear thing would spin and make a hole in it.??

i dont know on that one, i would think the air pressure and stuff would keep that from happening....it should be pressed against the tire hard enough not to spin the gear so it doesnt flat spot the tire but it would definately have to be adjusted whenever you ride unless it self adjusts as you ride but idk

Once that tire warms up and you start down the road...I would say Bye Bye tire in less than 3-4 hundred miles if that. Get a nick in one of the teeth from a rock or other road crap and it could wear within a couple miles. twocentstwocentstwocentstwocents
