For 50, 70, 90 and 110cc atv only.
Tools needed:
Dremel
something to cut the steel tubing
round file
Welding machineBuy some steel tubing 1"x1/8", the inner diam. should be around 3/4". (Look before buying it if it's less than 3/4 maybe it wont work without boring it.
Calculate the distance wanted and cut the 2 tube.
Take the dremel and the round file to bore the inside until the tubing fit on the axle, dont bore too much it must be as fit as possible, you need to remove the weld inside.
You need to grind the hub and the tubing ends at 30deg to make a V at least 1/8" deep between the 2 pieces.
Put the 2 pieces on the axle and make 4 spot, then weld N-S-E-W, put some grease on the axle before welding and make sure between each weld that the 2 pieces are not welded to the axle, if so, your in deep trouble.
Why the V you may ask, it's for penetration, if you dont do this, the weld wont hold much and the sleeve will be useless.
Dont put the welds under water, let them cool slowly.
