I'm building a Pocket bike with front and rear shock, it will be a little bigger so i could call it a midi bike i guess.

I'm building the frame, swing-arm, exhaust and part of the front fork. The wheels, brake and plastic come from a pocket bike, the engine is a 110cc 4sp for now.

The frame will be built with 1"X1/8" steel pipe and tig welded. 100% Canadian steel.

I'm doing this at work at break time.

The front fork is made from a Yam Zuma and it's done, need paint for the extended tubing.

The frame tubing is ready to be assembled.

more pics monday.

okay, could you save a file as a .DXF and send it over? autocad should accept that.

EDIT: the google machine says it will accept the regular .dwg file.

The frame is almost done, I will have to weld it Thursday, the swing-arm Friday.

I found a software to get a perfect fit when you weld 2 pipe at an angle.
It's called tubemiter you can get it here (http://members.iinet.net.au/~gilesp/Tubemiter/tubemiter.zip), more info here (http://www.aloftyideal.com/).

I 2nd that, tube miter is a sweet tool for tube fitting. As for your frame & fork fab. work. You have my attention... Btw i think there called GP shifter minis or something along those lines. GL w/ it.

Thats a big exhaust!

Two questions:

Aren't you worried about your groin area burning up? Exhaust is like right in that area...

Have you a made a foot peg mount yet?

1: No i'm not because i have a wrap shield for it.

2: foot peg goes under the engine like a pitbike, i will make them soon in aluminum.

For the exhaust i'm thinking about making another one in aluminium, smaller, and taking this one for my dumb buggy.

yes i like those wheels, after all it's still a pocketbike, the only thing i dont like right now is the muffler, it's too big, i will make another one smaller.

I have to say I agree. You might end up with ride height problems but hey go for it thumbsup2

I agree also but the look is more important since i wont make any race with it for now, but i could change for a smaller disc later if i need to.

thx for your comments, do you think i should raise the front of the engine a little more?

hey that bike is stretched so it can drag race
or enter a show as a donk pb
i like the motor angle lower, you arent worried about ground clearance, but rather other usable space, like on top of the motor, like for the carb and gas tank

The gas tank is too big anyway, I had to cut it and patch it with an aluminum sheet, rivet and epoxy to seal it.

A little pics with the gas tank and 22mm carb.

Let me know if you like it more like this or without fairing.

I say without. Althought a headlight would give it some cool naked flair.

That full fairing is the shizzle thumbsup2  A single projector beam headlight either cut and molded into the front of the fairing or a clamp bracket on a fork leg will work great.
