Hey guys, I have a 200cc china dirtbike, and i'm wanting to get a little more "oomph" out of the thing. I havent done much to it, but i have a few ideas of what i can/might do.

-Exhaust, i'm pretty sure this thing is super restricted, b/c is super quiet. I might try to either gut the stock can, or possibly see if my pitbike can could somehow fit on there? :dunno:

-I removed the stock air restrictor thingy, and i ditched as much non-needed weight as possible.

I'm not too sure if there are parts avalible for the thing, but i would like to possibly do a head breather kit (a home made version).

Any other ideas on what i can do to the thing?

I gotta get a new tube for the rear tire, and need to go over the bike and tighten the thing up, as i havent really touched it in over 2 years.

Also the tree feels loose in the neck, so i gotta see if i can fix that problem.

(All the plastics on the bike are not on it anymore, as they didnt like sliding across the road at 70mph)

try to find a boot for it and get a vm26 or 28 carb on it,

and find out what you can do with the muffler with the carb and exhuast it should feel a bit more jumpy with power

i would also like to lower it, for a 200, it sits pretty tall (almost like a 450) i'm about 5'9 and on my tippie toes. I think i has a bad berring in the tree, cuz it moves a little when i use the breaks.

those kind of dirtbikes have alote of travel on the stock suspension you might have to find a way to lower it without it bottoming out all the time or haveing the rear tire hit the frame/seat area

you could try cutting the suspension and the front fork springs

there is plenty of room for the back tire to travel, I never really ride the bike hard, and its barely seen any dirt, i mostly just cruse around the streets on it.

I'm also trying to find a cheap headlight assembly i can mound on the bike (the one that came on the bike was smashed to a million peices when i crashed)

I'm really thinkin about just clearing out a spot in my shop, and totally disassemble and clean the thing, i know the carb hasnt been cleaned out since i go the thing (3.5 years ago) I may just end up doing that this afternoon, Cus there are quite a few things that need to be done to the bike.

(I cant find a china dirtbike forum, so i'll just post all progress here)

lol yeah that too, I'm thinking of trying to make the bike look like a giant honda ZB 50 kinda thing, I dont have a pic, but once i post it you'll see what i'm talking about. I'm wanting to try to lower the front end by 4" or so, i'm not too sure if cutting the fork springs that much will bottom out the shocks :dunno:

I'm about the same height and when I rode a crf450R I just leaned on one foot and found that a lot easier than trying to touch the ground with both feet.

Can't wait to see what you do with it thumbsup2

yeah, this bike is so trashed its not even funny, i was messing with it today and here is a small list of bad things

needs new trip tree bearrings
missing motor mount
exaust can has multiplue cracks near welds
front rim is slightly bent (wobbles a little)
A few welds have cracked and split on the frame (no major sturcture welds though)
motor: runs like crap, the stock 110cc xbike motor runs better than this
carb manifold: made out of rubber adn has dried up and cracked
rust on several areas, bike could use a total re-paint on everything.

I snapped some pics today, but for some reason they wont show up on my computer (but somehow the camera reads them?)

I flipped and inverted the bars, looks like a classic cafe racer, but the stance feels awkward, super tall bike, but hunched over???

I'm thinking of totally dis-assembleing the bike, and fix/clean up everything and put it back together. From the pic above (when it was new) the onlything left cosmetically is the seat, and i'm thinkin about painting the gastank yellow just to give it some type of color co-ordination.

random note: my neighbor bought one of the 110cc atv's, been smoking him all day long on my 125... (even in the dirt)

With all the things wrong with the bike i'm getting a really hard time trying to get the modivation to mess with it, But I will probably start on it on monday. I'm not concerned about looks or anything, i just want to get it where it will ride without worrying about everything falling apart. (and i did some measurements, and for someone with fab skills and a lil extra money, it would be super easy putting a motor like this into an x-bike frame. just fab up some brackets and make a custom front sprocket to fit the smaller chains.

and for saving for a road bike, i'll have between 5-600 by this friday, i'm gonna try to put at least 100 aside every week. I have a little jar, and everytime i have at least $200 in my bank account, i'll pull out 100, and put in my jar, that way i'll still have some cash leftover for food and gas for the next week. But depending on a few things, the bike money jar might just turn into buying something much more important.

the 15 is still for sale, and ive had a few offers, but i'm not taking any less than 500 on it, so i'll more than likely end up keeping it (but i am also looking to trade it for a 65-80cc t-smoke dirtbike to take out to my gf's or tard it out).

(sorry for all the randomness)

My gf's dad is also thinking about getting my gfs' yami ttr 125 and tarding it out and endurance raceing it with tmgp, so it would be cool to see an CMRA sprint champ (and 3rd in endurance) runnin mini's
