Here is a pic of my custom off road buggy. I built this from the ground up off plans from an Australian company. It is powered by a Honda VTR1000 engine. It has 4 wheel independent suspension with 12" of travel and can reach speeds of about 100mph.

The plans are fairly detailed. I had to modify the original plans to use a V-twin 1000 because I needed about 6" more length in the engine bay. I think the newer plans are different and will accommodate several different engines. Plus they have plans for a several different types of buggies.

Not the best pic of my 89gt. She was a total sleeper, well until i started the car up.LOL I did drop the chrome 16's and put on some 17'' ROH light weight rims. I took out a second mortgage on my house to build it.LOL So it had all the trimings because i didn't know if i wanted it to be a dragcar, road course or a show car. So i built it for all occasions. Must of my drag race buddies where anti fords. They did love this car when i let them take it for a spin.LOL She died a horrible death though.LOL

The Pocketbike will EAT my electrics .After that vid I flew up the block on it to show my dad just how fast it really is.(I'm 185pds)
It will wheelie with me on it..It just takes a slight turn of the throttle to get it going since I'm not using an adjustable clutch so it's easy for my son to ride....You could make it so that the throttle doesn't go any further

The bike is called the C1 its a cheap version or the Blata B1 I liked it because of the steel tube frame kinda like a mini Ducati. The bike looks awsome up close and sounds crazy. I don't know that I'll race it but my wife has had me on a diet for a month now if I get any smaller I would go ride with someone if they were up for it. I started at 250lbs and I'm now down to 225 and all I want is to eat taco bell and pizza because I never get it anymore LOL. The little thing seems to have no problem pulling my big ass when the motor gets up on the pipe the front end starts getting light.

I should be at Sandy Hook MD track once the season starts,Prob April as it's been so cold etc.
I like the C1..I've had several of the racers ride them..A few mods here and there and it's a decent bike(tires)..A guy I know used to bring down his B1 and C1 and I really could not tell what was what, both were quick. He was usung the cheaper China Three Shoe clutches that held up well..
He had that same bike...Actually a few new riders I had come around had the same bike(paint sceme0..That paint sceme is my favorite.
A clutch change or adjustments might be needed, depends on how it reacts at the track.
We have fun there,If you just want to ride you ride..I just like riding with other people..
If you ever do this you'll have a BLAST!!

The stock clutch you can't adjust but the 2 shoe upgrade you can. And it would need tires. What are the requirements to race? Bike and gear besides helmet gloves knee pads.
The race requirements are
Helmet(full face with shield or dirt bike helmet with goggles.
Gloves.,preferably leather.
Racing Jacket with Padding inside, spine protector,or jacket with elbow pads..Or a Dirtbike set-up with padding in the shirt...motard guys I've seen with just a padded dirtbike shirt.
Jeans with Knee Sliders or Leather Pants with Pucks,Or other material pants with knee sliders or pucks..
I have leather racing Pants with pucks to match my leather racing jacket but I can't ride with them,When I started to use them I started to crash so I went back to the Jeans and Zocchi Knee sliders.
I started off with a Material ICON jacket with padding but a fall world tear it up(the way I fall)
So I bought a leather racing jacket that has saved me many times..
I don't go down much..i havent been down in the last few years siince I went back to the jeans..
Footwear..
Over the Ankle Shoes,Hi Top Sneakers...(don't use work boots-they hit the ground and snag your feet)..I started out using Solid Black NBA Hi Top Sneakers bought at Target($20.00) and they worked great but I'd wear down the fronts when I took the corners deep.
So Now I use this..
http://www.midsouthminimoto.com/falcominimotoshoesblack1.aspx
bought on ebay cheaper-$25.00
with
http://www.midsouthminimoto.com/falcominimotoshoemetaltoeslidersqty21.aspx
I put it this way..Some tracks are really not that particular on this stuff,it's how much you want to protect yourself..I've seen guys go out with like, whoa>how the heck did he get out there like that..I've been down on my ass at the track plenty times so I suit up better.

Yeah it has a 3 shoe clutch looks just like that one but I don't see any adjustment on it. Where the springs attach looks like it is just a roll pin to hold the springs in place. Maybe I'll take it back apart to look again. The guy I got it from had the chain so tight the bike would hardly roll. So I put a little slack in it not much just enough to let it free roll again and pulled the clutch to make sure he didn't hurt it but never really look at it hard.

Yea on the top of those pins,if threaded should be a hole for a small allen key,wrench..Each screw has to be turned evently to the other-1 turn,1 turn ,1 turn..then try it..
So many turns for so many RPMs..vise versa
..I use a RPM tach to set the clutches..
If the bike has been ridden then it might be set already..

Alright got the pocket bike out tonight did some fine tuning on the clutch sanded the clutch bell with some 80 grit to get the glaze off of it and adjusted the springs. Now the bike was pretty fast when I got it but man did that make a huge difference. Now the bike lauches out of the whole and just keeps building speed down the street and when you hit a hill it just keeps going no clutch slip. Thanx for the help "TSMMR 47" now I would be interested in racing the bike. I thought the clutch slipped before because my big ass was on it but now no slip just go go go the bike acts like I'm not even there.
