hey guys, I have a 2005 china made 200cc dirtbike, there is no name/brand on it, and i'm thinking about trying to fix it up and make it street legal, somthing just to toot around town on. I have a few q's about the bike and i cant seem to find anything on google about them.

to make it street legal, i pretty much need tires and electrical and its good to go. (it used to have lights, but it got smashed up pretty good when i crashed goin 60)

does anyone know of any upgrades, or places to buy parts for these bikes?
i know i can find tires, but i would like to do something to get a little more kick out of the motor (i want a smaller rear sprocket)

as it sits, it tops out about 70, and if i can get it to cruse at that speed, i would be happy. its a 200cc 5 speed honda clone motor.

for the lights, i was just gonna find a street fighter kit, that has a headlight and blinkers all together, and just mount that to the bike. (the battery is still wired up, as well as the e start) and try to find a stock rear brake light assembly.

but the major problem is, i dont think we have a title or an mco (or any paperwork) on the bike, We bought it from a china atv dealer in town.

if i can get this thing legal, it would allow me to keep my mid.

what do you guys think?

(here is how it looked when i bought it, but now all the plastics are smashed except for the front fender)

As for your legality issue go to the person (dealer) you bought it from and he should be able to get a MCO if he is a authorized dealer, if not get the manufacturer name and I can help you find the distributor and maybe you can get it from them.

Or you can try to register it a custom built bike but you would have to supply all kind of paperwork for the work that has been done.

I would go with the first option first and if that don't work try option two.

AS for parts you have to do some R&D find what clone model it is. then you can find your parts. Front counter sprocket are easier to find. rear sprocket you might have to get made. Your best bet is finding the model and I could help you from there.:yup:

well, here is where the bunny trail runs cold, the place i bought the bike from closed down a few years ago after they were sued. (which is part of the reason i can run a bike at the local track) and for the manufactuer, the only thing i see on the bike is "KMX" stamped on the motor. I'll check the plate on the bike, maybe that will say something.

The body and frame are a copy of the KMX 125R(Kawasaki) different power plant
