Just got this one today...

Well My new SSR110 Pit bike came today. As you can see I had to change the graphics on it right away.

I did some light riding on it today and I have to say my first impression is that its a fairly decent bike for the money. I did Loctite all the bolts, had to tighten the spokes and adjust the chain. other than that I just checked the oil and gassed it up.

i have a scenario in my head of a guy with a regular dirtbike driving in the road and his buddies say to him, 'get out of the road retard', and then it sticks in some weird way and becomes motard

A mildly aggressive road tire will work in the dirt, specially on a mini. Been on blue and black diamonds with a kx60 on kenda sport 12"s... keep in mind some ruts may be deeper then 6 inches. I caught my front fork/axle on a rut in a landing making that mistake before. Thats how i separated my shoulder...

Actully motard is the French word for biker. In the U.S. in the 70's they had a series on The Wide World of Sports called "superbikers". It was a race on dirt and pavement, half and half. It was all the top riders in the country and around the world. It was by invitation only of course. Well it died out here but was picked up and grew in europe. It was called Supermotard and was later shortened to just motard. That's the short version. It was conceived by an american and if I remember right he also kept it going later on.
