So here starts my journey. I am about to start upgrading the performance and cosmetics of my X18. The weather is great here in Ontario and I can't wait to get this thing souped up.
So for performance I was thinking of adding:
NGK Spark Plug
140 OGM Motor
Brembo Brake Pads
Pirelli Tires
Vapor Trail Tech Computer
Cosmetics:
New paint job
New rim and swing arm paint job
LED lights everywhere
Highbeams
GPS
Aluminum Bottom
Body Fasteners
So basically, that's it. Can anyone send me a link to a nice, easy way to do a two tone colour paint job for an X18. I've seen a lot of threads but I don't know which one to use. I am going to be using spray cans, unless anyone has a cheap alternative to a very expensive paint gun. Any help would be appreciated.

sweet, but the vapor wont add any performance
to do a 2 tone paint job, you spray the whole bike one color, then tape off the parts you want to stay that color and shoot the rest, then when the tape comes off...2 tone
better do the body work before painting

yea, i hope its ok that im making my bike look A LOT like ur x18. im sorry but it was just love at first sight. what did you use to keep the curve in place in the aluminum piece for the bottom of the fairing, it looks like some type of metal fastener

on the paint, you gotta do the lightest color first, then the dark, other wise you will have to buy a lot of the light colored paint. (its hard to paint white on top of black)
you plan sounds solid, except you are overlooking all the little things that have to be done as well (re-wireing, battery, fuel lines, filters, carb, pipe modding, air filter, manifold porting oil, shifter replacement, frame modification, etc) cant toss in a 140 motor in a stock bike be good to go. your missing another big big thing, need better shocks, they are exspensive, and i know i'm being a little hypocritical since i havent dropped the $150+ for a new rear shock, but i have seen what happens when you try to turn and end up highsiding because of crappy rear shocks. I wonldnt worry about the paint/body work untill you have the bike running in proper order

james, hey i dont mind if you take some ideas from me, thats why i shared them
in this pic you can see how the front piece keeps the curve in the sides
if you have a piece of body to lay out and trace the shape, then mirror it for the other side, cut out the shape in aluminum
the front piece is riveted on and bondo over so you cant see the rivets
the piece is attached in the stock rear spots and a few clips and screws in the front area
