hey guys got a couple of questions for you guys? ok, i have been debating for a few months whether to get the x18 or not. well, i finally made my mind to buy the damn thing lol and now i need to get one. well, i went to gkmoto.com to ask them about the mco and stuff, and they send me an email that we dont sell the x18 anymore.banghead so, i checked superpocketbikesx18.com and they look reputable. but the problem is that i got to pay for shipping. so, should i buy from them or should i buy from holeshotz performance? and also, i bought the license plate frame today for 8 bucks thumbsup2 and it was a good deal. but where do i get the thing which holds the plate? pbu.com has one but its freakin 45 bucks angry_red. where do i get these things from in this pic?

you can go to the hardware store, get a piece of metal bracket, some nuts and bolts, bend the metal to match what pbu has...
your gonna have a hard time if you cant think past a plate bracket
these bikes require that you work on them

I mount my plate there on the exhaust and it cracked two rear fenders with my heavy behind on it so I mounted it on my swingarm vertically and its more visible. something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stainless-Side-Mount-Motorcycle-License-Plate-Bracket_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66 Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c2 93Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZ item220336715599QQitemZ220336715599QQptZMotorcycle sQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories even with the bike leaned it still clear the road.

guys.... is HOLESHOTZ PERFORMANCE reliable? should i get the x18 from them, im confused cause some people had a bad experience with these ppl. they got free shipping on their x18 while spbx18.com is charging 65 bucks for theirs. should i just get it from holeshotz or just pay extra for spbx18.com? dunno

I think holeshotz is reliable to a surtain extent the only thing is you will get your bike in 2010 if you order from them. If I were you I would just pay the 65 dollars and buy from spbx18.com

youll figure it out
you need to worry about all the things you need to do when you get the bike
like changing the oil, tightening up important bolts, adjusting the chain...

i understand
these are things to keep you safe and make the bike last a long time tho
you will have to send for the mco after you get the bike anyway so its not like your gonna get a plate for it a few days after you get it
you got time to do the other things while your waiting
so your getting a x18?

well i used a picture of my x18(while i was putting the new x7 body on it)..and photoshoped the graphics and a few other added parts. I just decided to keep my bike all black/carbon fiber.

You can definately do it. What you need to do it take off the x18 fairings, sand them down and paint them black/orange according to the design and just tape off certain areas. Then once its done and dry get some red/white vinyl and cut it out according to the design. Go to either XMRpros.com and order the repsol decal kit or go to ebay and look for someone who can make custom bike graphics and your set. Then either paint your wheels orange or black with the orange lip or whatever you want. After all this you can incorporate full size bike parts off of the real repsol bikes on ebay to give it that precise look/feel. And of course a badass exhaust .Hope this helps!

oh and heres a chop with a stock x18 with its original body.

I would but i dont have a pic...its exactly what you think. Its an L shaped bracket thats like 1"x1"or 2"x2" or whatever...

like this:
http://www.sengsit.com.sg/image/l_bracket3.jpg

Line up one hole on the bracket up to the last hole on the x18's chain gaurd, and line up the other hole with the license plate frame. Then once there both bolted, it should look like my bike in the video
