I bought a brand new off ebay a few months back for $125, very solid looking engine... I havent ran it yet so I can't give any performance feedback yet... The question to ask yourself is: Will I be wanting to upgrade this engine later with a big bore kit, cam ect?? if so I don't suggest the 3V as I am not aware of any performance parts other than an hc piston that Tbolt sells, it is not even made for a 3V originally, they take a 2V piston and fly cut two new valve reliefs for the valves, plus I haven't even found a gasket set for a 3V yet... You can throw on a good carb and exhaust but thats about the limit for performance upgrades as far as I've found... If you know someone in a machine shop that can bore the cylinder and flycut a piston you can get a 114cc kit and have it made to fit that engine but as far as a cam, that would have to be all custom made..
