I know I want a 33t sprocket and have found one at PBU, but most know my feelings about the business.
http://www.pocketbikesunlimited.com/GS-57-X-15-X-17-GS-4-GEARING.html
My problem is that I want a solid sprocket design.
I've considered making my own but for the amount of time to make one I'd be better off just buying one already done, that is, if one exists.
PBU has a solid sprocket design for an X6 and X7, but my question is will the sprocket fit on an X15/X18 rim and is the X6 X7 sprocket a 420?

pretty sure the x6 and 18 are interchangeable
its a 6bolt pattern, maybe the center needs minor adjusting

the x7 wont work, it has a wierd bolt pattern exclusive to the x7 as far as I know...
The x6 won't work either, it has a 3 bolt pattern and the bolts are 8mm for the 4 stroke wheels so you will have to drill and tap your rim to 8mm and drill 3 more holes in the gear..
Do you want an alum sprocket or doesn't it matter??

Now on the x7 4 stroke that's a toss up because they made 2 versions of that bike. One came with the 8'' wheels like the 2strokes in which the bolt patterns will not fit the x18's.Then one came with the 10'' rims that MIGHT fit the x18'sdunno

I want aluminum because it's something that going to get polished to compliment the swingarm and other bling.
I know the X6/X7 sprocket has 3 holes....... what I was thinking was that I could drill my own holes so it would fit to where it would look something like this..... http://www.pocketbikesunlimited.com/COMPETITIONSPROCKETS.html
I just don't know how much would have to be shaved off of the inside diameter.
Anyone got any better suggestions? dunno

yep the 3 bolts holes will line up but the x6 only has 3 holes and are 8mm where the x18 has six 6mm bolts..Well at least with the x6 wheels I have had...

prob be way too much to have them set the machines up to drill a different bolt pattern and cut the center hole bigger..Thats where most of the cost for custom maching comes in, Set up time..

Vortex?? they do 1:1, not mid stuff

all of there sprockets are custom and a push of a button makes a new sprocket....all they have to do is have a stock one sent to them and i bet they would offer them especially since it takes less material

they might but the x12 is an odd ball so not much demand for them, now the x15,18 and x19 would be hot sellers...

I called Bombparts for more info about the 32T sprocket but was directed to their voicemail....... I didn't leave a message but they called me back within the hour moon1 eat that for service Holeshotz :phat:
Anyway........ they informed me that the 32t isn't in stock right now but he will have it made and ready by end of next week (Christmas) and he asked me if I would be interested in the 28t.
I explained that I could run into problems trying to pull a 28 and that I would like to stick with the 32 and that's when he informed me of when it would be ready if I didn't mind the wait.
All I have to say right now is so far I'm quite impressed with Bombparts service.
I really believe I'll finally get a new sprocket I"ve been seeking with no games or surprises.
Thanks Rene for the referral thumbsup2

No problem shooter, I want to see pics of the parts they don't have showing on their site, like their rear sets and halogen headlight setup. I guess some secrets they keep to themselves.thinking_smilie

Shooter I'm reading this before reading through the thread so it might be here twice (Got lazy). Here's the go-to company http://www.sprocketspecialists.com/ They will make you a sprocket to order. Maybe of they get the pattern to the X18 we can all get whatever tooth count we want after they know what it is if they don't already know.

Thats who Holeshotz use to get or still gets his sprockets. They will make it any size you want, like Nutty P said you might need to send them a sample.
