Since i crashed my bike a while back i had to do some body work... i cracked the head light faring where the mirror goes,,, i just put some foil tape over it .... but i decided that i was gonna fix it up. i started yesterday cleaning up the faring... and today i put on the bondo and primer... it came out good but the primer doesn't want to dry.... maybe cuz its 59 degrees out but idk,,, i tried wet sanding it but it wasn't dry so i messed up the primer... now i just gotta wait till it drys to sand it and spray some more on there.... i got a dark primer and the color i chose is metallic charcoal its a pretty cool color... and i got some gloss to go over it... i went with walmart paint this time cuz i didnt want to spend to much....lol i hope that shit works good.... im not sure what other parts of the body im gonna paint yet but ill find out.... ill keep posting pics till im done.... let me know if u guys have any tips or comments or ideas thanks..thumbsup2

did you glue a piece of plastic to the back side of the crack or did you just bondo over the crack?? without some sort of patch to stretngthen the break the bondo will crack right where the orig crack is...Hate to see ya do all that work and it break the first time or two you ride it..

man you didnt even take the front off?
i would use mesh with the bondo, repair it on the underside
definitely take your time painting
and no more crashing!

i didnt put nothing in back of it.......i was thinking of that but i dont have anything like that... could i just use jbweld???? thanks guys im spraying the metallic on right now
when I painted my bike I had some small cracks on my farings so I drilled small holes at the ends of the cracks so they didnt spread then used jb weld to cover the cracks and fill in the holes its still holding up and you cant see the cracks the only problem is its hard to sand so put it on thin

Cheap paint doesn't like itself, very common problem when dealing with rattle cans.

it didn't come out perfect but it was the most i could fix it after it wrinkled.....angry_red thanks tho
Paint wrinkles when its applied too thick in an environment where the air is too dry . The dry air dries out the top layer before the inner layer even has a chance to cure;-creating wrinkles;-more on every coat also............................Peace

i would repaint the whole panel then, it will look much better than a piece together job
for certain projects ive actually made the paint wrinkle up, it gives a nice texture
