yep sure is, biggest problem with those bikes is that no one sells replacement parts for them so if anything breaks your pretty much screwed....

is that a big problem?

if you ever need any parts it is.... Engine parts are the same as other PB's but all the frame, body, wheels ect is the problem..

there is no comparison bewteen the two bikes, the x17 is about half as much bigger than the x18, the X17 is a big bike, probably 2/3 the size of a 1:1 bike..

you'll be fine if you ride it normally and do all the prevenative maintenence stuff..., I had one and some of the problems I had was sloppy engine mounts, muffler is too restrictive causing the exhaust to bottle neck in the head pipe, the bodys are brittle and break easy not to mention they rattle like a bb in a box car, the sprocket on the rear wheel will come loose and should have the bolts upgraded to stainless or hardened bolts with locktite....personally I'd never buy another one..... One plus side is they have nice big brakes...

This isn't a comparison to other Mid Bikes but it will give you scale on a full size.

the rear end goes down a bit much.install a taller shock and stiffer aswell and it will stand at a better stance even once you sit on the bike.

you'll be good either way man...almost all the parts on every chinese midbike was replicated off of parts that are made for other bikes so if you do some research you will probably find what you need if something breaks....even if you cant find a part its not hard to fab something up with basic tools...i would say start looking for replacement brake pads right now bcuz 250lbs + the bike weight is gonna murder those brakes after a while

sorry to say but that doesnt apply to alot of the parts on the x17, forks, swingarm, shock, body, frame are all exclusive to the x17, wheels are used on some scooters but VHTF

when I had mine my son was ridning it and the rear sprocket bolts came loose and broke the wheel, I searched hi and low for a wheel, couldnt find any so I parted it out and shortly after parting it I found a set on ebay right up the road for $50 o.b.o Nutty-Rant

I'm using an x17 caliper on the rear of my x12 and I'm gonna try and set one up on the x19 too, nice big dual piston caliper, might not be as good as a 1:1 brake but these are way better than the small calipers that come on these bikes especially the x19 4 piston, those things are not good at all for any serious power..

How can I put this?? NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I paid $600 for mine a few years ago, waste of money... You can find a 250 Ninja used for not much more than that....

the new 250s are so hot that people are sellin them for double here Nutty-Rant
you would think that a 4 piston caliper would be great but NO, thats why i went with the x6s huge single calipers for my duals

off topic why are x-19's and x-18's going for $660 but x-22's for $625 on ebay?

Because the X22 has a lot of parts that do not easily exchange with other Mid Bikes. And it's a bear to modify. I think it would make a nice street bike but it needs a lot work to get it done but once you do it would be sweet.

the 19s and 18s are more popular
higher demand = higher price

The Nutty Professor

Oh and that too bluelaugh At one time people wanted the X22 and couldn't find it anywhere so they went with the X15 or X18. Now they're popping up and due to bad press from uumm rolleye0010 some people they probably don't sell so well. It may not stop many sales but the word she does spread.
