well, im wondering if these bikes can hold a thicker weight oil then 5, i bought 20w 50 and i need to know if ill run into problems in the future, oil breaks down after usage anyway, i found my own little track ive been taking my bike out on, me and my buddy have been going out Miller Park (home of the brewers) and its a mean course, and we have been running out there alot. its cold here but we dont care its all about the fun. so i was wondering if it will help being thicker in the cold conditions.

First off, make sure you are using atv or motorcycle oil, automotive oil doesnt have the correct propertys for the wet clutch in these engines..
If you are riding in high temps and doing hard riding 20w/50 wouldn't hurt but for normal riding and moderate temps stay with 10w/40, cold temps, under 50f 5w/30 or 10w/30
If you run a heavy weight oil in cold temps it gets too thick when the bike sets and cools down and takes too long to coat the parts on the first few minutes of running because it won't flow correctly until it gets warmed up and by that time the damage is done....banghead Think of syrup when it comes out of the fridge and how slow and thick it pours, but put it in the microwave for a few seconds and it runs like water, same thing with your oil...
