I'm just trying to think of some stuff i could do to make the bike run and look better. it has no fairings, besides for the tank. I plan to add a $30 walmart halogen w/ mount to it and run it off the 12v battery so it looks like a fighter bike and so i can ride it at night. I'm trying to keep the engine as stock as possible (exhaust, intake, etc.) so it stays quiet so i could use it as a night rider. Main problems are the handlebars being super unstable, tank paint all scratched and screwed, rims are in decent condition. as you can see, not much you could do to a bike to make it look nice without having the fairings to paint and i don't plan to buy them for $150 off x18parts.com. I was thinking something more of just stabalizing the hell out of it so it's like a cruiser, and painting the rims black? I see some pretty pimp bikes on this site so throw some ideas out plz. It's a cruiser so appearance > performance.

personally I'd suggest getting an x15 body, thats what I'm putting on my x19... I got mine for $125 shipped, the place is slow but everything was perfect when I got it...
or I have a tail section from my x19, needs a little repair but you can have it, just pay the shipping.....

What exactly are you using the bike for. Are you stunting the bike? If you are get a straight pipe that would be the same lenght of both handle bars from end to end. then notch it like the handle bars are. That will keep them from moving back and forth.twocents
If your going for the street fighter look just get a headlight cowl from ebay.http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=streetfighter+headlight&_sacat=See-All-Categories
Paint the frame and wheels. oh and tank cover. and throw some L.E.D neons on it to give it a better night look. You can add frame sliders or cut down some bike pegs to and bolt them to the frame where the fairings bolt to, just incase you eat it. Tidy up all the wiring(hide).
Food for thought: There is nothing that you can't do to these Mids that you can't do to a fullsize bike. Look at Shooter's, Blitz, NuttyP, Swheels, 125ccrazy, dna316 just to name a few. Your imagination is the limit. Before you start a project brainstorm it first to save you the headache, time, and money.
Plot the route you want to take and what you need to get there. I originally started just adding sidemarker lights to my bike and well it end up like this the first time.
My bike will be getting another paint job for the next riding season and this vids don't show my Brembo brake setup that I am about to put on. That came about with the help of Nutty P, Thabks dude.thumbsup2YouTube - Rene's X-18 Midbike 2nd time around!
and I could leave her alone and did this YouTube - X-18 quick spraypaint paint job
The picture is the should be first. Quite a few of my parts came from overseas if your wondering, people always ask me that on youtube and they are off of my bikes cousin, the Honda Monkey.

Why black on the rims? Polish them and go with the anodize paint from PepBoys. "S" used it and it's looks pretty good.

That anodized paint can be used in a few applications, If you look a the vid about the quick paint job the red looks like Kandy but it is not, it's red anodized paint. it you use it on a frame or body panels make sure you have a good silver(chrome paint base coat) and it will come out lookingspeechless33(do not sand the basecoat) for the rims make sure that you polish them and get all the crud off of them and they too will looksmokin_pimp.
I will be using a muti-color paint scheme using that paint. This model car was painted with that.http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://image62.webshots.com/162/7/85/37/486378537dGMOmZ_ph.jpg&imgrefurl=http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/1486378537035595345dGMOmZ&usg=__rnQPKbN8VzRICTYQ9851qX7AvJI=&h=334&w=500&sz=22&hl=en&start=16&um=1&tbnid=ylP1r_mqfDq7fM:&tbnh=87&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Danodized%2Bpaint%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%2 6rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7SUNA%26sa%3DN
The posibilities are endless.

Ok so i found this and i'm convinced on buying it. This light will match good with the blue grips i am going to add
streetfighter light (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Streetfighter-Fairing-Stunt-Upper-Street-Fighter-Light_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3 a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3286Q 2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem400002404531QQitemZ4000024045 31QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ebayphoto hosting)
I am also looking into a neon kit and other accessories. but before i do add all this cool stuff, i want to have it a very good running condition and super stable.7
Really want to know if the light will fit my x19 perfectly and be able to be hooked up with my current battery in place of the original headlight

stable as in? You can upgrade the rear shock, figure something with the frontend, upgrade tires and maybe brakes. If your thinking about the engine swap it for something bigger or just nod the stock and go manual.

take some cardboard and draw out a template as close as you can to looks and size as that fairing, tape it on your forks and stand back and look at it, this will give you an idea of how it will look...
yes it can be wired into your battery,,, I'd hook it to a relay however if you use the stock headlight switch...

Just a small bite of customizing advice. Don't buy hard parts to match...what's the word I'm looking for thinking_smilie Let's put it this way. Grips get torn and dirty and in a crash even a light one you my want to replace them and you might not find the set you had or you might find something you like better. So pick the front fairing you really like and find grips to match that. Did that make sense rolleye0010
As for super stable. That means money. I know there is bad press about air shocks but for a stable ride that's the ticket for the rear end. You "HAVE" to stay on top of the maintenance on them but when they're working right they are the shizzle. That's why Harley put them as a upgrade option to the Road Kind and why semi's use them. The pricey units are nitrogen filled but that Formula One territory.
For the front USD's look great and for the track are the ticket but they can be a unstable factor until you dial it out and add other parts. A good set of standard forks are more flexible (literally) and will absorb more hits from the road surface without upsetting the bike. Take out the pogostick properties and you're set.

for the most part, just get some tires and replace the shock
add some oil to the forks

My suspension is fine. its my handlebars and stuff like that. Forks and rear seem to be good, along with the tires.

These are Midi size cafe racer, so you lean in the turns not so much turning.

Ya, i trained myself to do that.however, when in a corner that is blocked off and a long ways, you don't want to just back it up that whole way. so i gotta like push it back give it gas push it back give it gas and repeat that like 20 times before i could face the right position. On my 110 dirtbike, its just like bam and ur outta there with the great turning.

I can bust U-turns like nothing and my turning radius sucks, cause I have a 8 inch stretch on my swingarm. I can lean and turn just like everyone else, but if I don't lean I am not turning at all.
