pHey I'm planning a huge project for my X18. First thing is first. What is the easiest way to make my X18 faster in speed and acceleration? Is there anything i should upgrade for my x18 to perform better? I am interested in adding brighter headlights and taillights, a nicer seat, a rear seat, , rear view mirrors, sliders, removing the sound from the turning signals, buying a gps for the motorcycle, adding extra turning signal lights, a whole new paint job, and decals as well as some neon.
I know that the ehadlight is 1156 and the taillight is 1157 but what kind of bulb(s) should I get? I have a eurolight x12 1156 for my headlight and I don't even think its brighter than the stock. Any ideas on better lightbulbs and where to purchase them? I live in Canada. I need better lights for all my stock bulbs, so the 4 turning signals and the taillights adn the headlights. I want to add more turning signal lights but I dont know where to purchase or how to install. How do I make a comfier seat and what materials do I need to buy and where to buy. as well as a seat in the back too. Where can I buy proper rear view mirrors with turning signalls installed in them. preferably carbon fiber ones and how do i install them. Where can I buy sliders and where should i place them. Someone told me how to remove the sound of the terning signals by taping something. what is it that I tape. I also am interested in buying a gps. any tips on buying or what model to buy. where can i purchase exrta turning signals AND how do i install them. where can i purchase tank pads and decals. i want an actual company name cause i cant seem to find any on ebay. And lastr but not least where can i get some neon and what kind of neon do i choose. this bike is gonna be sik with the help of all you guys at midbikenation. hopefully i can get as much help and support as dna so i can get this bike pimped out. Thanks guys

sounds like your doing a tricked out bike

as for the seat, you can go to joe-an-fabrics and get black vinyl or whatever you want and get a heavy duty stapler and make your own seat, heres a few pictures

get some high density foam, also get some velcrow and have a decent seat

also if you want all those electronics you better have a good battery, make sure you buy a battery tender

you also said you want to make the x18 faster and have more acceration

buy an airfilter, get a different sprocket, also you can get big bore kits http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&category=35595&sspagename=WD1&viewitem=&item=300157910377&rd=1&_trksid=p1704.m118.l1247but that takes know how, but if you know how then great

p.s. i have a 114 big bore kit on my bike and its the best mod, once you get a 114 you can buy a big valve head, cam, stiffer springs, lightened oil slinger, head breathers, oil pumps, and oil coolers and be rollin'

but i suggest if your spending that much on labor and parts, just buy a 150 or 140 that will be a DIRECT fit

The charger that came with your bike sucks. Spend a little extra and buy one that will actually charge your battery completely.

what is a big bore kit. if i change sprockets do i have to get a biger chain. what do i use for the bottom of the seat, a hard plastic? and I had a couple things to add to the list of things to do. I wanted to change the bottom of my body to aluminum like blitz. whats the easiest way to do this. and if i want to paint the fairings how do I paint. Ive seen so many different tutorials on painting so im confused. do i need a different type of piant for the rims and the frame? and what number sprockets should I get and where. also where do i buy all these performance parts. im also interested in installing a vapor trail tech but i dont know which model to buy. are they easy to install.

James at this point I don't see this as a long term build. I'm sure it will but what we have here is a thread for the newbie section. If that changes and you decide to continue using this thread we can always move it back.

you can get some decent priced L.E.D's herehttp://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=CAR the wedge type bulbs are the turn signals are also on that site.

For mirrors google search Lockhart Phillips they have alot of the stuff you need. Mirrors, tank pads, etc.

no, the chain stays the same size in sprocket changes, use the original seat, a big bore kit just makes the engine 114cc instead of stock 107cc

the vapor can be purchased online, performance parts can be found at these places
scooterparts4less.com, pocketbikeparts.com, xmrpros.com, hondatrailbikes.com, sdscooters.com

Well that's almost true depending on how far you go one way or the other with your sprocket change.

dunno i dont see what your trying to say, it shouldnt matter how many teeth you drop you should have the 420 chain, 420 is the width

the stock sprockets are fine depending on your needs
dont make a back seat, unless its for a young kid
take your headlight bulb to an auto parts store and match it up with something brighter

Yeah dude search close to home first. Scooter shops, motorcycle dealers, repair shops. I won't go to speed shop they am almost always want double the price for simple crap. Hit up large chain car part stores for stuff common to motor cycles and cars.
