im a newbie douche when it comes to this.....will this fit on a x-19 frame? and also could some of you fellas name off MANDATORY prerequisites or requirements to run this motor properly eg. exhaust, oil pump, bigger shocks, things along those lines

First off, thats a nice engine and Alex is a good guy to buy from, thats where I got my 150yx....I wish I would have had some forsight and knew that was coming out as I would have waited and got that over the YX... that internal hyd clutch, removable oil filter an dthat Inner rotor are all killer aspects to that engine..

It should fit, you may have to do a little massaging on the front down tubes of the frame for the exhaust as that engine will be a little longer than the 110 that came on the bike....

Now as far as what to get to make it work.....

Exhaust: You should be able to utalize the stock headpipe as it's pretty good size stock but upgrade to a better muffler... I'd suggest a pitbike muffler off ebay, pretty cheap and they work ok....

Oil Pump: No bigger oil pump is required, it's good as is....

Shocks: thats a rider preference as to how you want the bike to ride and handle..

I'd say get the engine, mount it up, throw on a nice muffler, maybe get a 26mmvm mikuni carb and have fun..

Do you know anyone over at Master Machine? .......... it's not too far from where you are.
I don't know what I'd do with that engine.......... they first say it will run lights and then later on they say it doesn't......... also......... they don't tell you what kind of carb it has. I'd be dropping him some e-mails asking him all kinds of questions.
Watch those kind of auctions for a couple of weeks and watch what sells for what............ you'll get a better idea what to expect to pay and what you'll get for it

I brought up Master Machine because I have an uncle that retired from there and it was over there by the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.
I could sure use his skills right about now!
Thought you might know something about the company or work there yourself being you're a machinist dunno

no i sure dont, i work at a place in Franklin, Wi (about 20 minutes out of milwaukee) On the weekends no one is really there (big timers) so i figure i could hop on some old machines in the back and fab some stuff. the reason i said i cant get too fancy is because to change a program in the machine you need a key...so i couldnt write my own programs in the machine to lets say cut, bend a frame tube or something.. surface polishings cutting and lathing pieces should come easy though along with other things just to name a few. Right now im running a lathe and a vertical tapping center and a gun-drill

yeah that head would be nice....

They have a 187 kit now?? with the 64mm and a 57mm crank I came up with 183cc but with the skirtless cyl and shorty piston wont work as it will come down too far with the longer stroke so I am told...dunno

an inline oil filter? does someone make one for the bikes?? can't say I have ever seen one.... dont think a fuel filter would work, oil is alot thicker than gas and wouldnt flow through it very well not to mention heat...

the '187' kit is if you have the base 150 with the 67mm piston

well that for sure will be a skirtless kit and would definately require the +R head... NAHHHHH I'll keep the 170 LOL....thumbsup2
