Don't know how long you've been watching this forum before you signed up, but as a rule of thumb with any of these bikes............ you have to go through all the nuts/bolts and apply some loctite to all of them and tighten them all down.
These things WILL come loose, it's just the way these bikes are made, so expect it to happen sometime sooner or later.
Another solution would be to run over to Ace Hardware, although I believe where you live Menards is probably closer........... perhaps replace the nuts/bolts with better quality onesthumbsup2

Oh yeah................ you MUST change your oil! This should be your very first priority before even thinking about riding your bike!

I know this isn't answering your rattling question but this is very helpful for people with a new bike!
Thanks Josh for this helpful info:

many times, its the actual motor mount bolts that become loose
that leads to everything else being vibrated badly
most rattles are in the body work, i used things like hot glue around the lights or grills to quiet them down

thanks for all the replies fellas...to be honest when i tore it down i went to home depot and grabbed good old American nuts and bolts and replaced the metric...so i fired it up w/o fairings except the seat plastics w/ headlights and the majority of the ridiculous rattle was coming from that so i did a quick cheap fix and grabbed a piece of cardboard about 4in wide and 10-12in long folded it in half and put it between the 4 main bolts of the seat and backend. this dramatically decreased the vibration sound. I would say the rattle was "on a scale of 10" a 10....with the cardboard now its a 2. very satisfied and i think the bolt factor helped also. If you get a new bike, GET NEW BOLTS.
