is there something wrong if my x18 will start in gear (e-start) i thought there was a neutral safety switch and it will even start in neutral if i dont hold the clutch i didnt want to try that with it in gear

its better that way and safer... never know it might die in the middle of an intersection then you better hope u can catch neutral be4 the car slams into ya....my big bike is wired to do that also

well i see what you mean but if your driving through the intersection just let go of the clutch it will start back up well i was just wondering if its possible something could be wrong and cause it to start in gear and without the clutch

If you bypassed the clutch brake light that comes on some X-18's or added an aftermarket clutch perch assembly that could be your problem and if you have the X-18 model that came wired correctly..........The little microswitch in the clutch handle is probably not seated in the perch enough.............the little contact tip may be broken off the microswitch......or if you have aftermarket clutch lever;-it probably isnt making contact with the microswitch in the stock perch assy.

well actually the bike came wired correctly im not going to try to fix it i dont mind it

my big bike starts without the clutch in any gear...i wired it this way on purpose...im just always aware of what im doin when on my bike and dont try to start it in gear without pullin the clutch in....
