man ive been dying to show you guys after the first panel came out great
ive been working on this paint for at least a week
i wasnt really sure if i could do it, i never layered paint outside of class, so it was kind of an active test
i saw the rising sun graphic a few weeks ago and i was hooked, it was japanese and fit the theme perfect, at first i was gonna do a small spot on the 15 then i thought ill do the whole 18 in it if the aluminum body panel works out, which did
the sides arent mirror and i didnt even try to do that, actually i did 'kinda ' try and well you see how it went, but i dont care as it adds a bit of flavor for both sides, there are also plenty of mistakes like overspray and such, i dont care at all, im just glad its as good as it is
right now its got the stretch arm, i plan on taking it to vir to race in the 110 class so it will have the stock arm on soon, i need to do some flavor on it too
all rattle can
2 primer
2 gloss white
2 gloss red
3 clear
1.5 rolls of painters tape
1 sunday newspaper
2 sheets 400 wet/dry
2 sheets 1000 wet/dry

damn thats looks really good. I thought i was going to be the only white bike. What did you do to make that lower plate behind the front wheel. Or is that just part of the aluminum pieces that you made? i need to make one of those.

oh and did you just take the tip off of the stock exhaust??

Blitz$M.Inc.$
07-24-2008, 07:37 PM
ya i made the lower front with a x7 inspired cross plate thingy
ya i drilled out the rivits to the cap and ground down the welds to the tip from the inside, then rivited it back on
thanks guys, the response has been really good
im almost scared to ride it
now i got to do all the decals for it

Shooter
07-24-2008, 07:40 PM
Impressive!
Most impressive!

Doing the whole bike like that makes it that much more dramatic.
I really like the swingarm and the option for adjustable heightthumbsup2
Great job!!!thumbsup2

Blitz$M.Inc.$
07-24-2008, 07:59 PM
um i dont really know yet
ninja and zx110R for sure, and the blitz logo
it could be alot like the 15 just styled different
thanks shooter, i was thinking of you when i was doing the aluminum panel, body work is less than exciting

Ghost Rider
07-24-2008, 08:01 PM
In my opinion (which doesnt mean a thing haha) dont put a lot of little different color stickers on it like the x15...keep it clean and just get all red/white/black stickers. But thats just me

So on the exhaust can you just drill through the top 3 rivets and pull that piece out, then pop off the tip, slide the piece back in, and put 3 new rivets in?

Did it make any difference in sound?

doug@xmr
07-25-2008, 12:09 AM
I thought you might think this was cool Blitz. Not exactly the same but very similar idearock2. This was my GSXR 750 from back in the day. Couldn't find the whole shot of the bike but this will do. It was originally just red and white but went back and added the neon yellow into the white. I think it would have looked better with the way you layed out your designthumbsup2.

Blitz$M.Inc.$
07-25-2008, 04:14 AM
thats a nice bike doug
a different verson of the same graphic
i was thinking of a black/red twin bike
i dont see myself doing regular paint jobs anymore
49cc, yes thats how i did it, nope didnt change the sound, i have a exhaust leak at the head tho so i cant really tell, the dang gasket fell out somewhere and i lost it

I really want to do the dual front brakes like that...im too scred that ill mess something up and therefore not being able to ride my bike for weeksthumb_down

what parts are all needed to make the dual front brake conversion - another front brake rotor/caliper/pads anything else?

Oh does your x18 have the stock exhaust modd...cuz if i take off my tip with the 3 rivets(like you did)...wont i have that little skinny pipe just sitting there, or does that come out too?

its been awhile and in that time the bike has gotten plated and a list of other mods
id like to thank ashar for his input, this is the best of both our bikes
im about ready to go on the first legal voyage today
im gonna get personalized plates but i couldnt wait so i just took whatever they had, i was thinking about BBY NJA
what do you think about that?
ashar, what kind of carb is this? ive decided that the rear facing carb sucks, it leaks gas and its hard to adjust, i need a forwards manifold for sure

rode it about 10 miles today
its nice not having to worry about if im allowed to be on the road or not
i had a gas leak so i had to cut it short
i passed a few bike rides that were checkin me out as i went by. i really wanted to turn around and chase them down to ride in their group
so i came home and fixed the gas leak and changed the gearing (a 16 tooth counter sprocket is the biggest i feel safe with on these yx motors)
i guess im just not gonna like the inner rotor kits, i took it off my race bike and now its gonna come off the road bike too
anybody wanna trade a flywheel setup for a irk?

Ghost Rider
04-18-2009, 06:34 PM
Ya me and my bro just got back from ridin about the same distance. He rode my friends stock x18(thats been sitting in our garage) and i took out my bike(i have it plated too). Went down to the local canyon and found a nice new freshly painted bike trail that felt like the Isle of man, haha it was sweet. Blitz, you have any canyons near you?

Isn't it awesome not having to worry about getting caught riding. The first day I rode mine, I got pulled over. He told me to stick to the small streets and I said "no officer I paid to be on the road and I 'm going to, so he follows me until I left the city. It was funny.

today was the maiden voyage to my work, which is now 11 miles away
i was pretty achy by the time i got there but it was alright, the ride home was much better

james1300
04-23-2009, 05:51 PM
Mine is Licensed too!
Im adding some rear L.E.D. turn signals to the rear of the X18. They will mount on the license plate bracket (fabed up a little aluminum bracket) and be quick-removable so the plate and signals come off to do Track time.

Hey Blitz currently all i have is the 110cc stators/flywheel.

When the motor starts to loosen up it will get faster and better. You gotta ditch that carb it came with and you need a good exhaust system.

My pig spotters are easy to see through cause of the convex mirror.
You can make some barend mirrors for cheap, they are to expensive.

i dont like the bar end mirrors, looks stupid to me
S, wont that flywheel go on a 150? if they are both honda clones?
today i got pulled for the first time in forever
i saw him and he didnt pull me right away, then after a mile he did, and he asked me where my license plate was, and i was like 'here is where it WAS, but it broke off yesterday and im going to dmv today to get another one"
i asked if i was speeding and he said, yeah i clocked you at 55 (in a 45, in 3rd gear) but he wasnt worried about that he just wanted to know where the plate was
he commented that he didnt know those bikes could go that fast, i says oh yea
he ran the registration, license, and checked the vin on the bike
everything was good so he was like have a nice day
(his partner that showed up later was a %^@%^, he 'recommended' i get a taller bike to which i said, 'now what fun would that be'
then he says he cant see me, to which i say 'yes you can see me, cause your buddy had to see me to pull me over'
he kinda pissed me off
anyway 10 bux later i got a new plate

well i had to make a pipe for the 18 since i took the headpipe that was on it for use on the 15
this is a underslung upswept pipe design
i had to weld four pieces of pipe together for this to work, did you know that a welder is a pipe bender too? bluelaugh
well its not all pretty yet but it is functional, it even shoots fire now! guess i gotta fix those leaks bluelaugh
the can is a shorty of the original and its mostly gutted, there isnt a restriction
i rode it around and its loud and mean
i wish it was a yoshi but this will do till then

Sweet man! Im jealous for sure. Would be awesome to cruise the streets. Sometimes when I jump to different neighborhoods I get on some main streets for a quick second and its a huge rush. Not sure if it's from going wot until I get to the next neighborhood, or if its making sure I dont get caught....but it's a damn rush

rene13
05-09-2009, 08:54 PM
Check lockhart phillips for some mirrors. Are you running the stock on the 18? I had a similar problem with my bike, with the shock. It would bounce like a pogo and eventually broke my fender and then the license bracket, I switch it to the side mount bracket and bolted it on using the axle nut, it was alot more visible and I noticed the cops hated less.

As for the fire coming out the pipe, did you use a lava rocks or a flame thrower? J/K lolbluelaugh

Blitz$M.Inc.$
05-10-2009, 06:51 AM
rene, ya the shock is stock, and it does bounce when i hit these potholes
when your going 50+, a few car lengths isnt enough to avoid a pothole
so im on my second license plate because of that
but now its mounted high up and the pipe isnt in the way
cept now the swing and pipe flange are mm apart and could hit on a big bump
garsnow, if you worry about getting caught, you will

its a blast on the street for sure
i pulled up to a big bike (dont what it was) and hit my rev limit real quick, nodded my head at him and he reved his up
i would have 'raced' him but i guess he was more mature than me at that moment
the fire is prolly leaks in the pipe, when you let off the gas, fresh air can rush in the exhaust and ignite any unburnt fuel, ya im running way too rich

well since the vir event, some things have changed
the hybrid is no longer in the 18 and is on the bench getting the turbo plumbed
i bent the ex valve in the 146 race head so i had to put the stock head back on, with the original 146 piston instead of the huge dome that was in there with the race head
so now the 18 has a 146 with a wimpy head and cam, it sure makes a difference
and i also put the duals on the 18 since i wont be racing for a minute
so now that i can stop good i decided to actually try the interstate
the bike will go about 65-70 without tucking as i dont want to look like im a kamakazi, so i did get passed but not too much, i still get more respect on the bike than i do in the G-low
anyway it was a blast, im not going my old route anymore
so yes, if you get the good stuff, you can just be one of the bikes on the road, just midsized

Ready2Fight
06-29-2009, 04:35 PM

Blitz$M.Inc.$

ya yer right, there isnt one now
thats the only thing im really worried about
i wasnt gonna go on the interstate till i got one but i moved the duals from the race bike so im good
i can stop faster than a bran new car with abs
but its commin, i need to work out a lever plan cuz i ditched all my rear pedal brakes

not mine we only have one lift that you role up into for alingment ( i think its easiest for putting cars up on)

Blitz$M.Inc.$
06-29-2009, 05:49 PM
ya my bay has a drive on lift
its a single hydraulic pole in the middle
i had an excursion on it today, sometimes it will lift a older diesel
that is how i do the alignments and the oil changes
the center bay has a 2 post lift with arms that come out and you adjust
it can lift alot of weight
3rd bay is inspections
we stay busy, thats how i fund my addictions :yup:

X7rocks
06-29-2009, 05:56 PM
hmmm is the one with the pole in the middle in the middle bay then one that has four adjustable ones in the first bay that spreads out form the middle then another with 4 adjustable lifts on the side skirts of the vehicle? if so its sounding just like the bays at my job

i hate doing alignments though to me it feels like such a long procedure id rather change a alternator then do alignment

Blitz$M.Inc.$
06-29-2009, 06:06 PM
ya alignments are alot of setup time but the actual adjustment usually isnt too bad
ya alts that are on top, some of them you got to dam near do a waterpump job to get the bracket off machinegun designers

well my last ride home from work was a nasty one
first my bike just cut off in the middle of a busy road and i had to push it to a 7-11
after 5-10 minutes of looking at it and wiggling, things i decided to try it again and it started
i think it was the sparkplug wire vibrated loose a bit
so then i get on the highway and a lady in her big suv just starts commin into my lane and i had to ride down the stripes for a second
the car on my left was cool and stayed far over in there lane to give me room
i always forget the horn even in my car so i gave her the wtf hand wave
and i said lots of bad words but i rolled on to home
a few turns before i got there i heard a loud pop and clang
something broke, i looked but couldnt see anything real important so i rolled home
then i saw the horn swinging from the wires, the bracket had been bent it was attached to and it broke, thats what might have affected the sparkplug wire too
so today i did alot of bike maintenance

went to dmv today to get my learners permit for the bike
i read the manual online and figured id pass with no problem, wrong, i failed badly, not barely failed, no like not even close
i felt like an idiot
i didnt even study for the car license and only missed 1 question
they had these stupid questions like, 'if its icy out how you stay safe?
A use front brake
B use rear brake
C use both brakes
D slow down before
i was like, first of all, my ass aint gonna be on a bike in the ICE

well i wrecked the 18 a few days ago, i was gonna tell yall then but i been on some pain meds bows_smilie
so now that im coherent, i can tell
i had just left work, getting ready to pass city hall i seen some kids on the left that had wrecked their car, the driver wheel had come out and the axle came with it, i was thinking to myself 'dang they sheet got messed up'
then when i looked forward again the cars were stopped, i hit the brake and next thing i know i was getting up, i turned the bike off and some lady cop comes yelling at me to get out of the road cause there was a truck commin through, im like pretty groggy but im stumbling to get my bike to the side of the road
she asked me what happened and i say i was lookin at them kids and got caught up in it, then just flipped it
i think i did a highside but i stuck to the bike this time and it slammed me into the ground basically, i hit on my left shoulder and scraped my left ankle some, also my right hand got hurt, mostly impact wounds
she asked me if i had a MC license and i said ya, i gave her my dl and she went back to her car for awhile
when she came back she said this isnt a real MC license, i said ya i know im trying to get it right now, they were closed on saturday
well she let me go, even let me ride the bike home, i still had 10 miles to go
i strapped the nose to my backpack and rolled out

for a few days i didnt see anything but now you can see the underneath bruising that happened
it still really hurts bad and ive ran out of pain pills so i get to gut it out now
5* my helmet is ok, it just scuffed the paint off as it skipped off the road, the shell hasnt been compromised, however i was planning on getting a better one anyway
S, ya that ol two finger dont work when yer in 'oh sheet' mode, which is hardly ever when your racing, and normally in the streets
granted it was my fault nothing to say there
as soon as i got home i told our moped rider he needed a better helmet
guys, if you dont have gear on your gonna get hurt bad, if i would have had on one of those shoulder pad chest protectors i would probably be ok today, but i did have on at least leather and boots, and my ankle still got scraped

And yeah, docs are exspensive, thats why i didnt go in when i broke my hand in a highside, I'll probably regret it in my 50's, but it seems okay for now.

Thats why i really like the idea of the Icon Feild Armour Vest, full back and chest coverage, as well as the upper sholder area, and for $100, its a good deal. but you can always find used MX chest protectors for cheap.

finally healed up enough to ride again
i took a test ride then rode it to work friday
the aluminum held up to even 70mph winds
i also modded my headlight
it sheared the wires off in the wreck so i decided it was a good time to improve it
i took a dremil and cut off the tabs that held in the stock bulb so it was flush, then reamed the hole out till the bulb fit through, i used a 3157 (1157)
the socket i had was round with 3 offset tabs around the circumference
i traced out the tabs and cut them out with the dremil, so the socket just twists in with a 1/4 turn, its very nice and clean
sorry i didnt take pics yet
i wired the high beam up first and let it sit to see if anything would melt, it did
so then i wired up the low beam and it just wasnt bright enough
so i wired the high beam back up, as long as i am moving then its cool enough to run, if i get stuck in traffic i may hafta turn it off for a bit

damn! another accident because of the brakes! good to hear youre ok though. I think its long overdue that you havent gotten any real protective riding gear. at a minimum, i would get one of the mesh jackets with the built in armor. I have a Fieldsheer one that has served me well during a bunch of really hard wrecks on the track. let me know if you want to get a jacket, i can try to get you a discount. i would spend the money on gear before i started fixing the bike man. sorry to sound brash.. but i feel its more important you ride safe then ride at all. and that goes for everyone. be safe guys.

i would recomend an Icon field armour vest, has back, chest and sholder/collerbone plates, $100 for a new one, and slips right on over/under your jacket. They are pretty comfortable, and arnt as stiff as some backprotectors ive used.

08-24-2009, 08:09 PM
i agree, however my black ninja was themed after this bike:
http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/1689030/
and the rising sun bike is white and red, so red is the common color and white and black go with anything
so it would look good on either bike, unlike a green one

well thats not what i ment but ok
i ment that the 18 was gonna be the first of my bikes to hit 100
the 160 hybrid will be going in it until i can afford the 184 4V setup
i was gonna put the 160 in my race bike (15) but i havent really rode the wheels off the 146 yet so when that bike is 'slow' then ill up it to a faster motor
but for the 18, it is a legal bike first
ive had this bike on the interstate and although it was ok i would really like more power at highway speed, the 150 had me going about 70 idk, i need the extra torque of the 160 at that speed (53mm vs 57mm stroke)
so big up to vince on the motor and i also got a tm28 mikuni
still got to get the 22 rear sprocket tho
ive put the stretch arm back on for street riding but i can always put the stock arm back for track days
i plan to race this bike a few times this year, even if its just a slow stock 160 ill have fun, actually it will be very fast
so brian, i guess i got at least a month before i can attempt 100, how soon can you?

At least a month as well. Our bikes will give one another some good compition though. You need about 15-16 HP to pull the highest gears made to fit on our bikes 17/22. So after that it is all up to tuning, high rpms, sprockets and weight and who wants it more hahahah. Well just have to make a few youtube videos. It will be good though we will push each other:yup:rock2

now it does take some balls to pass a semi, and the on ramps are sketchy, thats what the bigger motor is for

Blitz were you the one that said, that a reason for your head breaking was because of not torque wrenching the bolts?

i said before when i did the 114 kit on my 110 it blew the head gasket and the possible reason was not torquing the bolts right, i dont really know
after that i got a torque wrench and always did 12ftlbs on the head bolts and never had that issue again
after that tho i got a 125

I hate it when your waiting for a package and see one the ups trucks roll by your street and your thinking "yes! its here!", but find out the truck ain't coming back for you.

now i get to turn some attention back to the 18
the 160 is in and the tm28 carb is so freakin big i had to relocate the battery to make it work, its on tho
looks like the v2 head is the way to go with the s35 cam although i want to try a s30 cam too

Ya a V2 head and a S35 cam is a mean setup for sure blitz!

well got the motor in, i decided to use the vm26 first instead of the tm28, cuz my exhaust is too small anyway, no need to go big on the carb yet
biggest counter sprocket is a 16 that looked 'safe' i could put on there
nutty, i had to make a vin plate cuz it was on the stock swinger and i wanted to run the stretch arm, so i made a plate and rivited it to the front
in your 'professional' opinion, what do you think of it? good or not good

the bike looks nice thumbsup2, will you ever do any performance mods to that engine (not including a carb or exhaust)?

Blitz to me it looks exactly like a Chinese VIN, but to someone who doesn't know the bikes they might wonder. I would roll with it thumbsup2
