alot of people have seen my video and have said that clutch less shifting damages the transmission, so just to put that whole dispute to rest heres a article from sport rider magazine.

Clutchless upshifts won't damage a constant mesh tranny if they are done right. However, for better control even top riders use the clutch for downshifting. It's easier to revmatch then.

I'm looking into creating a simple speed shifter. All it needs is a switch on the shift lever and a circuit that breaks the ignition for a fraction of a second to unload the tranny and allow you to upshift without even backing off the throttle. This is how most SBK's and MotoGP's do it.

What Schofell says is very correct, but the probelm I think we'll run into is the quality of the transmission. Soft or improperly heat treated internals will snap or shatter. I think that is a real possiblity with the stock trans.twocents

Good point, Nutty. I keep forgetting we're dealing with cheap chinese manufacturing here. I think it could become a real problem as we start to get some decent hp from these engines. Might be a good excuse to buy that Takegawa 6-spd hangloose
