heres a lil story of Midbike Racing back in 2004...
How the TL-01-RR was born...

Back in 2004 Midbike racing was just starting to get big . there were 2 teams trying to beat each other PSWS and MMK each team developed parts to make their bike better then the other . in the end PSWS won the championship with their superior engine building and MMK developed a prototype frame and suspension that almost went into production but we just could not compete with the chinese Prices . :( our frame was just to expensive and most midbike fans just could not afford it.
at the end of the 2004 Championship we joined forces and put a PSWS engine into the MMK frame. MADE IN THE USA BABY!!
but around 2006 Midbikes went 4 stroke and the racing scean dried up (most racers switched to Euro Pocketbikes or NSR /Metrakit bikes.
MMK went out of business and as a gift to me for risking my bones on the asphalt they gave me the TL-01-RR Prototype and even though its slow by todays standards I cant wait to get it back out on the track on the 25th!

Blitz if your talking about the bike closest to the inside turn. It's called the x5 aka cateye chassis x1/x2 rims and tires.
It's a shame that the midbike class died out.I would have thought that since the 4 strokers was coming out.You guys would have been excited about being on a faster more powerful bike. It's funny to me because i wanted a 4t bike but was in love with my 2t.So i broke down and got one. While being still somewhat faithful to my 2stroker i took the fairings and some other bits then put them on the 4 stroker. So i'd always remember old faithful.crazy_smiliecrazy_smilie
I remember seeing those pics on pbp and wishing i was there racing.Do you think you guys might ever get into the 4stroke midbikes?

Thanks guys!
that was the funnest year of my life! rock2
I kind of just walked into a full sponsorship, my wife and I had to give up racing YSR 50s because it just got to expensive so one day we saw a bunch of X-2's on the side of the street for sale! we decided "heck if we cant race we will just have fun in some parking lot somewhere,
so one day I went to my local GoKart supply store MMK of OC and asked if they had any performance parts for these lil bikes and the owner said I have a few carbs and pipes and told us about a race at rialto I told him I had some race experience then he said if you win the race ill sponser you .
well I won the race and my wife took second! next thing you know we were battling for the 2004 SCminiGP Midbike Championship! thumbsup2
heres a pic of my Sponsors building the TL-01-RR Prototype...
The following year I did take a 4 stroke X-12 to a 3rd place in the Midbike Championship but like i said before most racers left the class to race Euro and Japanese Bikes .

they are a set of modified XR-50 forks.
my sponsor had a friend that hooked us up with the Aluminum pieces from his machine shop and we added a Hayes Hydraulic front disk brake system. :)
